About - FAQ

1. Q: Do you photograph anything besides pets?

A: The simple answer? No. I enjoy photographing animals and businesses/products pertaining to animals. It's what I am experienced at. It's what I am best at. I am a big believer in sticking to the things you are good at and leaving the rest to others! If you are unsure, please do ask and if it's something I think I could do, I may consider it!

2. Q: Why don’t you do formally posed photography?

A: Formally posing families for photographs is an art! I truly feel if that is the type of photo you require, you will get a much better job done with a photographer more experienced in this area. Candid photos of people and their pets is what I am best at.

3. Q: Do you accept assignments outside of Calgary?

A: It depends. If you have something in mind please contact me. Extra fees may apply.

4. Q: Do you do product photography?

A: Yes, I do photograph products pertaining to the pet industry.

5. Q: Do you do charity work?

A: Yes, of course! I enjoy helping out animal charities when I can. If you have a charity and are interested in a donation of time, please contact me! At least 30 days notice is appreciated please! BrindleBerry is a pet business, and therefore dedicated to assisting animal charities only. Thanks for understanding.

6. Q: Do you have gift certificates?

A: Coming Soon!!

7. Q: Why did you change your name from Mutt Shots Photography to BrindleBerry - Custom Pet Photography?

A: Although Mutt Shots was founded in 2005, for personal reasons I have not accepted many photo sessions for the last two years or so. The new name is more personal to me and better reflects my new colourful artistic style. It is a little less generic, more original, and more approachable. I also feel that it depicts well my use of "100% all natural" photography.

8. Q: Where did you get the name “BrindleBerry”?

A: “Brindel” is the name of my first dog as an adult. She is 9 ½ year old Boxer who has been with me her entire life. She has always been the model of the fur-family too! The “Berry” is three-fold: I found out there are actual Brindle berries! There are also Holly berries. And, berries are natural, sweet, and colourful – just like BrindleBerry photography!
